Are you preparing for Paper 3 MRCPsych? Are you worried about tackling the tough critical appraisal and statistics questions? Get PassAppraisal advantage TODAY for an excellent performance!
Membership exams test you with MCQs. So your revision is best carried out using MCQs - not critical appraisal books or courses designed for other clinicians!
Go tame the bull without a drop of sweat!
Why should I choose PAL?
Critical Appraisal takes upto 33-40% of MRCPsych paper 3. If one masters this topic, the chances of getting Membership is almost complete. At PAL we believ that if you get the right concepts for statistics and PAL, you will not go wrong no matter what the actual question in the exam is. To enable this we have made the course tailored for the needs of MRCPsych candidates, with no assumption of any previous knowledge. Unlike other courses, we do not wander away from your target of Membership exams - we do not include various clinicians with different needs in a single course.
What happens at your weekend courses?
Our weekend courses are conducted bi-annually. Usually in November 1st week and June 1st week. Our weekend course is very different from any other course you might have attended so far for critical appraisal. WE TAKE ONLY 25 CANDIDATES FOR EACH DIET. This is because we believe in one-to-one tuition NOT on an over-subscribed lecture for learning statistics. Being a doctor, one never gets proper teaching in critical apprasial/stats and we at PAL believe PAL can do what you always wanted someone to do for you before those awful exams!
What is special about your online course?
Affordable (less than 30£) - Easy to use (Moodle platform based) - Makes critical appraisal enjoyable!
Who will be teaching us?
Lena Palaniyappan, Clinical Lecturer at Division of Psychiatry, University of Nottingham
&
Rajeev Krishnadas, Clinical Lecturer at Division of Psychiatry, Glasgow University.
We have many years of postgraduate teaching experience. We have published a series of 3 MCQ books for the new MRCPsych exams . Teaching psychiatry, critically appraising literature, analysing statistical methods and applying evidence base in psychiatric practice is what we do day after day , as a part of our work. Hundreds of our students have successfully passed MRCPsych exams and have given excellent feedback for our method of 'nailing' confusing concepts at their roots!

This group is all about how to make pancakes.
You will find a collection of pancake-making videos, and loads of recipe ideas.
Pancakes can be a wholesome, healthy and economical part of your diet. They are really useful at using up surplus eggs and milk. They are the perfect credit crunch meal - particularly if you have chickens (and ideally cows too...) But seriously, even if you have no livestock they are great at using up things that are about to go off - you can throw in some blueberries, or even try to blend in some carrot. They are a fantastic way to sneak in lots of veg into your kids diets, and disguise them as a delicious treat.
